Hell’s Belles, it’s one week away!!

In just over one week, the London Polo Community will be welcoming ladies and gents from all over the world to Hell’s Belles Vol. 1!

For those of you who haven’t paid your registration, please do so right away, as it helps us to make our tournament a reality. No need to fill out the registration form again, just click the ‘donate’ button here to pay your £10 per player fee.

The Time, The Location and The Rules…

The tournament will take place at Newington Gardens, Harper Road, SE1. See this google map to get your bearings.

The tournament kicks off promptly at 9am Saturday morning (15th October). Players will register at our information desk, and will receive their goody bag and tournament t-shirt.

If you are late to the court you risk forfeiting your first game, so make sure you are on time. The last game will finish at 8pm on Saturday, and then for Sunday we’ll start the whole process again. This means an early rise Sunday morning after the Saturday night party at The Libertine Pub, just around the corner from the courts.

We will be using the LHBPA (and UK National Series) ruleset which can be found here.

Also, please note that there will be sorted bin bags provided during the event (for recycling of glass, cans and paper) and we will not tolerate any littering during the event. Newington gardens are the LLHBPC’s home turf and is surrounded by a nice park, so we have an obligation to keep it tidy. You’re help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Pre events and Fun stuff

For those arriving on Thursday 13th, there will be throw ins at Newington (the tournament courts) from 6pm. This is our regular ‘ladies’ night’ but in honour of the tournament we’re hosting a ‘ladies + guests’ evening. Which means boys allowed! Join us for throw ins, come to meet your hosts, and we’ll probably find our way to a pub after the lights go out.

Friday 14th, the tournament organisers are building courts, sweeping and doing general maintenance at Newington. Feel free to come along and lend a hand during the day, and play some pick up on the other court. In the evening, we have arranged a little ‘meet and greet’ party at The George Orwell, N1, which is our favourite local polo pub. Come along from 7pm to meet each other and the London Polo Community, we’ve got some fun stuff planned!

The Libertine Pub is hosting an official party for Saturday night. It’s just around the corner from the courts, and is South London polo favourite…
